Took my shirts and suit to get dry cleaned. All done to a good standard, promptly and at a good price. Opens early and doesn't close until late - so useful for 9-5 ers who work in town. Would recommend to others.
They're great. Amazing service from Village Dry Cleaners
Rude and unattentive and when i asked why is the soap powder so expensive she said dont buy next time.Over priced.9 total just for a laundry mat.
AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.I used them recently to press two shirts and dry clean a hat ahead of needing it on holiday, which I was going on the day after collection.I picked up the items and when home I realised the hat had been shrunk. I took it back to the shop and in the first instance was met by an insistence that the shrinkage could not have happened there despite the hat fitting when I handed it over and not fitting when I collected it. The man I spoke to told me that someone would be in touch the day after to discuss what would be done.I was then away for two weeks and no attempt whatsoever was made to contact me.On my return I went in to the shop and faced the beginning of what was to be a barrage of terrible customer service, bizarre unpleasant accusations, promises made and broken and more. The owner (who later claimed he was merely the manager) accused me of having it cleaned and shrunk elsewhere and trying to get them to pay for someone else's mistake - leaving aside how utterly bizarre this suggestion is, how grubby is it to accuse me of this?He then tried to tell me that he had no responsibility to make good any damage or loss, despite this absolutely not being the case in consumer law. He proceeded to make a series of insulting offers - free dry cleaning (as if I would ever use this place again), a few pounds to cover 'inconvenience', before telling me he would be in contact a few days later to organise a cheque.Yet again, despite promising to do so, he did not call me so I went in to the shop to try and get it done once and for all. The women who work in there, for some unknown reason, appeared to be angry with me as if I was somehow in the wrong and were all extremely surly and rude. A cheque was produced eventually, for the wrong amount of course. The man was summoned on the phone who told me he had deduced the cost of cleaning (I had already paid this) and (I quote) "other deductions". After an angry exchange finally he paid me almost the right amount and that was that. Nearly a month to fix a problem they caused and they should have sorted out immediately. I don't mind that the item was shrunk, I appreciate sometimes these things happen. I do mind the treatment and service I received afterwards which was little short of disgusting. I will never use this place again and I would urge others to think very carefully before doing so.
First class service from very friendly staff. I have been getting my shirts washed and pressed, my suits dry cleaned and my duvets laundered here for over 20 years. Also very good at replacing broken buttons! Reasonably priced and highly recommended.
