A great move with a great team of guys. Surveyor came and was very detailed with his quotation and he gave me the best feeling of all the quotes i sought. The office couldn't be more helpful from dropping boxes of to placing cones outside my house ahead of the move. The move team were just great and made the process so much easier for me and the family. Big shout out to Tony who took apart and rebuilt my large wardrobe. You have to use Rumsey and Son if you are moving house!!
The worse experience ever. The drivers son even offered to hit my husband with a metal bar. the driver wasnt accepting the instructions of where to park as traffic was restricted. The driver and team locked up the lorry and left the lorry with all our belongings. We had to wait 2 hours for the manager to come with a spare set of keys and we have to move out all the furniture ourselves as the workers walked out. They were lazy, rude and dangerous. Do not recommend this company
House move - faster than i expected and friendly careful guys
A rather late review but added now as I am surprised at some of the negative experiences of a couple of reviewers that I have just read. Three years ago, Rumsey and Sons provided a full packing service and also furniture in storage until finally we moved into our own place 18months ago. None of our belongings were or damaged, nothing was too much trouble. They even dropped off our piano to a neighbour a few streets away en route!When they finally delivered to our new build home we reported that there were some marks left on the hallway wall, so they sent someone back to paint over them. That is what I call service. They are a highly professional company, all of the members of the teams that we dealt with were friendly, polite, efficient and understanding.
Very very pleased with the collection and delivery of our furniture today. The 2 guys were polite and very careful with everything. Will definitely use them again.
