Lovely big open spaces. Our dog loves it and wears him out :)
Lovely place to walk. Lots of space for families, football matches and dog walking. There is also a cafe but I've not been in there yet.
The tours of the house are very interesting. The hand-printed wallpaper in particular, sticks out in my memory. The grounds are beautiful and back onto the riverside path. I'd highly recommend it as a stopping off point during a long walk along the Thames, or even as part of a historic day out, taking in nearby Turner's house, and Ham house. You need to book in advance for tours
Marble Hill Park is a really well maintained park, with great trees, space for children to run around and a long grass area for dog walkers. It has tennis courts, cricket nets, an adventure playground in the summer, and a cafe. A great place to relax or walk.
A petite Palladium country villa with recreated Georgian interiors set on expansive lawns and some woodland facing The Thames. A highly influential building in its day entertaining a fashionable social and literary coterie. Also a separate cafe and sports/playing fields here. Pleasant but not overwhelmingly so.
