Just to be clear, this is *NOT* The Ritz or Waldorf Astoria type experience. This is really a slightly upgraded bed-n-breakfast. But then again it's also reflected in their relatively reasonable prices. Service is marginally ok, but what's great about this hotel is their excellent location. In the quaint little borough of Richmond, and within 5 min walk to a major train/tube station. Excellent for a London visit where you'd be nuts to rent a car.Rooms are reasonably comfortable, except for one very annoying "feature" that has remained un-fixed despite multiple times of reporting this to their management (this was my 3rd stay at this hotel). Unusable electrical outlet in their bathrooms. I actually had to get them to bring me an extension cord so I could plug in my shaver & such. They really need to fix this.All in all a fairly pleasant stay, but they really could update their rooms with proper working equipment for the prices they charge.
Comfortable, convenient and cost effective. Nice people to deal with this is the no frills good quality hotel that is ideal as a base for leisure on a budget and business travellers alike. Easy access to historic Richmond, Kingston and Hampton Court too, a 20 minute train or tube trip to central London what more to want. Be warned no restaurant and breakfast is a well stocked but simple buffet...no problem there eateries to meet any taste within 5 minutes walk
