We loved the ambience as you walk in - olf fashioned English pub with log fire and comfy seats. Great to take tourists to. The food was good too. 5* toilets a bonus. Popular with families when we returned at weekend but other areas are quiet and secluded from excited children enjoying themselves. Car park at rear. It is also a hotel + has function rooms.
Used to be really good. Service remains great. But the actual food today was poor. Roast potatoes were not fresh, small amount chicken that wasn't marinated or seasoned enough and a huge parsnip. The sauce on the sticky toffee hadn't been made properly, you could taste and see the sugar granules.
Rooms, clean, tidy and bed comfortable..... There could have been a warmer welcome from the reception.... Breakfast was good....morning staff were pleasent.... Food was good.... Would stay again.
Great family and friends place. Food a good standard, wide variety of local beers and wines.Friendly helpful staff. Been going for over 15 years and always pop back to see friendly faces.
I enjoyed a good Sunday lunch at a reasonable price. Service was very good and the staff is unfailingly polite. Young's ales are served here. The pub is always busy, but retains a homely atmosphere. The surrounding area of Kew is beautiful. Well worth paying a visit.
